Adelaide 1994 – Pit Stop Diorama – Completed

This was the first 1:43 diorama I ever built. I remember it was a long “off and on” project, which I finished in around 2005.

I chose the subject matter because I’d always thought that Nigel Mansell in the Williams Renault FW16 looked great, because of the red, white & blue effect that his crash helmet and “Red 2” brought to the car.

The figures are all from the fantastic Denizen miniatures collection. The gantry and air bottles were all scratch-built from brass rod.
