“Taxi For Senna” – Limited Edition Signed Diorama – Nigel Mansell CBE – Williams Renault FW14, Silverstone 1991
£425.00
A strictly Limited Edition of only 6x hand-built Dioramas, each individually signed by 1992 Formula One World Champion and 1993 PPG IndyCar World Series Champion, Nigel Mansell CBE, in support of UK Youth.
uilt on a solid oak base, this hand-built diorama depicts Nigel Mansell driving the iconic Williams Renault FW14 as he stopped to collect his rival Ayrton Senna, after winning the 1991 British Grand Prix. Each diorama was hand-signed by Nigel Mansell CBE, at the Williams F1 Conference Centre, Grove, England on 22nd May 2024.
Having struggled reliability during the early part of the 1991 season, by the summer the Williams Renault FW14 was proving to be the class of the field, with Mansell winning at Silverstone to follow-up his win at the French Grand Prix only seven days earlier. Mansell delivered a dominant win in front of an adoring home crowd, leading his rival Ayrton Senna until the final lap with the Brazilian’s McLaren Honda MP4/6 ran out of fuel. This lead to the iconic scene of Mansell picking up Senna and giving him a lift back to the Silverstone pits after the race. This diorama captures this iconic moment of sportsmanship in more accuracy and detail than has ever been achieved before.
10% of the proceeds from the sale of each diorama will be donated to UK Youth, a charity of which Nigel Mansell is President. UK Youth is a leading charity with a vision that all young people are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. With an open network of more than 8,000 youth organisations and nation partners; UK Youth reaches more than four million young people across the UK and is focused on unlocking youth work as the catalyst of change that is needed now more than ever. The diorama comes packed in a custom-made protective box, and is packaged in high-quality foam in order to ensure that the model is not damaged whilst in transit. Also included is a unique Bad Wolf Miniatures certificate of authenticity, hand-signed to confirm that each model is one of a strictly limited edition of only 6x unique pieces.
